Eligibility

Pregnant and breastfeeding women; women who have recently had a baby; children who are 1-5 years.

Must be determined by health professionals that there is a medical/nutritional risk.

Partnership with Physicians

WIC collaborates with physicians and other providers to provide services that directly improve the nutrition and overall health of families.

Who is WIC for?

WIC reaches pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants and children up to five years of age with a health or nutrition risk.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

Proof of income

Proof of address

2 forms of Identification for all applying for WIC (examples; Drivers License, Medical Insurance Card, Birth Certificate, Crib Card, Shot Record, Social Security Card)

*Proof of Pregnancy for all pregnant women

What foods are part of this program?

Milk, eggs, peanut butter, canned beans, cheese/yogurt, dried beans, fruits/vegetables, juices, cereal, pasta, bread/buns, tortillas. Formula can be provided to infants who are not breastfed.

ODH/WIC has a Farmers Market (FMPN) program yearly from July-October.
